Sarawut Celebrates Victory in Udon Thani PAO Election with Parade.

Udon Thani: Sarawut Petchpanomporn, the victorious candidate in the Udon Thani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) election, took to a parade vehicle to express gratitude to his supporters. The election concluded with Sarawut, representing the Pheu Thai Party, securing a decisive win. According to Thai News Agency, the election results displayed at the Udon Thani PAO office showed that Sarawut Petchpanomporn, a seasoned politician with four terms as an MP, garnered 327,487 votes. He was followed by Kanisorn Khurirang from the Prachachon Party, who received 268,675 votes, and independent candidate Danuch Tantheothit, who managed 17,224 votes. Sarawut's triumph was evident as he dominated in 19 out of 20 districts, losing only in Nong Wua So District by a mere 61 votes. The voter turnout was recorded at 52.16 percent, with over 14,000 ballots left blank and more than 18,000 deemed spoiled. The Udon Thani Provincial Election Commission is expected to certify the results within a week or two, provided there are no objections. Any challenges to the election could delay certification by up to 60 days. Sarawut expressed his gratitude to voters by touring the municipality and surrounding areas in Mueang District, promising to begin his duties immediately. Meanwhile, Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party, joined Kanisorn Khurirang in a similar parade, assuring continued political efforts despite their loss. In Nakhon Si Thammarat, the election results sparked discussions, particularly in Mueang District's tea shops, where Ms. Warin Chinwong emerged victorious over the former champion. Warin's win is perceived as a significant political shift. She secured victories in nearly all 23 districts, losing narrowly in a few strongholds of her predecessor. Warin Chinwong celebrated her landslide victory of 328,823 votes, expressing appreciation for the genuine support from voters. She vowed to implement her campaign policies to enhance Nakhon Si Thammarat. Her competitors, Kanokporn Dechacho, Anyasi t Srisuwan, and Sanhapon Suksrimuang, received 294,835, 3,657, and 10,869 votes respectively.
