Bangkok: The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) is inspecting ERX after temporarily suspending its business operations.
According to Thai News Agency, the SEC inspected ERX Co., Ltd. (ERX - trade name Kucoin Thailand), a digital asset exchange, to ensure that all client assets are intact following a temporary suspension of its operations.
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand revealed that the inspection of ERX was initiated after business operations were suspended on January 3, 2026, due to the company's failure to meet the required capital adequacy standards. The SEC emphasized the importance of client asset security, confirming that as of January 6, 2026, all client assets were secure and complete.
ERX Company had to halt its operations because its capital level was below the necessary threshold from December 29, 2025, to January 2, 2026, falling short of 60% of the minimum capital requirement for digital asset businesses over a five-day period. ERX must regain its capital and secure permission from the SEC before resuming its usual digital asset activities.
The SEC has urged ERX investors or clients to stay informed through the company's communication channels or the SEC's updates. Furthermore, ERX is required to communicate effectively with its clients, explaining the situation and providing necessary support as directed by the SEC.
Clients wishing to withdraw their assets can reach out to ERX through Customer Service (Happiness Team) via email at [email protected], available 24 hours a day, or by phone at 02-080-6060, Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Alternatively, clients can also contact the SEC at 1207, pressing 9 for assistance.
