Yala: Chaos erupted in Yala for the second consecutive night as three loud explosions were reported near the artificial waterfall in Suan Khwan Muang (Phru Bakoi) within Yala Municipality. There have been no reports of injuries or deaths from these incidents.

According to Thai News Agency, the explosions were first reported to the Yala City Police Station at approximately 8:04 PM on October 8th. The series of explosions occurred in quick succession, with the first explosion at 8:03 PM, followed by others at 8:14 PM, 8:22 PM, 8:52 PM, 9:24 PM, 9:42 PM, and finally at 10:30 PM. Despite the alarming frequency of these detonations, there have been no immediate reports of casualties.

In response to these events, the Yala Provincial Governor, accompanied by key local law enforcement and security officials, arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Police Lieutenant Colonel Kritda Sihsopon, along with the Yala Provincial Defense Officer and the head of the security group at the Yala Provincial Administration Office, took swift action by cordoning off the affected area. This measure was taken to secure the location and prevent unauthorized access while awaiting the arrival of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers. The EOD team is set to conduct a comprehensive investigation aimed at preventing any recurrence of such incidents.

The explosions occurred in a recreational area, heightening concerns among local residents. Initial suspicions suggest that the disturbances were a deliberate attempt to showcase the capabilities of a group within the region. The authorities continue to investigate the motive behind these coordinated explosions as they work to restore calm and ensure the safety of the community.
