Kalasin: "Secretary-General Saeng" has arrived in Kalasin to prepare for tomorrow's Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) mayoral election. Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, along with his team, visited the province to receive a briefing on the preparations for the election, which is set to take place on Sunday, August 23rd.
According to Thai News Agency, this visit aimed to monitor and understand the overall preparations for the election administration and management. The focus was on ensuring the election proceeds smoothly, honestly, transparently, impartially, and fairly. This included assessments of personnel, venues, and related operations, as well as addressing any election preparation issues in Kalasin Province.
The election for the Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization Chairman will be held across all 18 districts of the province, which has a population of 954,666. Out of these, 786,161 individuals are eligible to vote at 1,668 polling stations. The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has invited all eligible voters to participate in this democratic process by casting their votes tomorrow, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, at their designated polling stations.
