Bangkok: At 8:00 AM, Senate President Mongkol Surasajja declined to comment on a controversial video released by Parit Wacharasindhu, a party-list MP and deputy leader of the People's Party. The video allegedly shows Mongkol handing a cheat sheet to an Election Commission official during the Senate election. When questioned about the footage, Mongkol tersely replied, "Go ask him. Why are you asking me?"
According to Thai News Agency, Mongkol was further pressed on whether the person in the video was indeed him. He did not provide a direct answer. Instead, his team members intervened, stating, "That's all we want to say." The incident has raised questions about the conduct of the Senate election, although no official response or clarification has been provided by Mongkol or his office.
