Rayong, Makham Khu Subdistrict Municipality Set up a center to help villagers affected by the fire at a motor oil recycling factory in Rayong Province, which caused a foul odor over a radius of more than 1 km.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on October 28, a fire broke out at PTK Oil Tech Co., Ltd., Makham Khu Subdistrict, Nikhom Phatthana District, Rayong Province. Fire trucks were mobilized from Makham Subdistrict Municipality. More than 20 vehicles from the couple and nearby municipalities responded to the incident. It took more than an hour to spray water to put out the fire and bring the situation under control. Initially, there were no reports of injuries or deaths.

The spot where the fire broke out was part of an oil refinery tank at the back of the factory. Before the incident, the machine was undergoing a trial run to test the readiness of various machines and equipment, but there was a malfunction and a fire broke out. Inside the recycling bin were more than 10,000 liters of old engine oil, and the oil stains had flowed into the factory's drainage ditch.
