Sichuan Promotes Tourism to Thai Market with Cultural Event in Bangkok

Bangkok: The Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the China Cultural Center in Bangkok and the China Tourism Office in Bangkok, successfully organized the "Pleasant Sichuan" tourism and cultural promotion event. Held at the China Cultural Center in Bangkok, this initiative aims to attract Thai tourists to explore the southern Chinese province of Sichuan, renowned for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

According to Thai News Agency, the event showcased Sichuan's tourism resources and culture, emphasizing the province's readiness to expand its tourism offerings. High-profile attendees included representatives from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and various industry stakeholders from both China and Thailand.

The event introduced the "Delightful Sichuan" brand and premiered a Thai-language promotional video highlighting Sichuan's landscapes and cultural heritage. Mr. Chen Guanghao, Director-General of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, highlighted Sichuan's unique natural resources and invited Thais to explore the province's attractions.

Sichuan's tourism enterprises provided insights into the province's capacity to host international visitors, highlighting accessible air transportation and unique tourism products. Sichuan Airlines announced five flight routes to Thailand for the winter schedule, enhancing travel connectivity.

Sichuan Xin Yiyuan International Travel Service unveiled the "Panda Train - Jinxiu Tianfu," a luxury sightseeing train offering a cultural travel experience. Sichuan Yuhong International Travel Service introduced popular tourist spots like Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, and Four Girls Mountain, and proposed short tour programs.

Bemolibeam, a Thai travel blogger, shared her positive experiences in Sichuan, noting the convenient transportation, modern lifestyle, and warm hospitality. She encouraged Thai tourists to explore Sichuan, emphasizing the proximity and frequent travel opportunities.

The event successfully raised awareness of Sichuan's tourism potential in Thailand and established a foundation for future collaboration between the regions. As part of the "Delightful Sichuan" campaign, a public awareness event on July 22nd will offer cultural activities and exhibitions to showcase Sichuan's heritage and tourism offerings.

Looking ahead, Sichuan aims to expand its international tourist market, particularly in Thailand, by enhancing its tourism products and services to ensure sustainable growth in the inbound tourism sector.
