The raid was a joint effort involving ISOC Region 1, the Central Employment Registration and Job Seeker Protection Division, the Bangkok Metropolitan Employment Office Area 2, and Immigration Bureau 1 (IB 1). The inspection targeted the "Baan Kao Tao Din" shop following a complaint from the Bangkok Metropolitan Employment Office Area 2, which highlighted illegal employment practices involving foreign workers.
The operation commenced at 9:00 PM on July 9, 2026. During the inspection, officials discovered six foreign workers without work permits. The group comprised three Laotians, including two women and one man, and three Vietnamese, similarly consisting of two women and one man.
The arrested individuals were subsequently taken into custody and handed over to investigating officers at the Sam Daeng Metropolitan Police Station. They face charges of "being a foreign national working without a work permit," which violates Section 8 and is punishable under Section 101 of the Foreign Workers Management Act B.E. 2560 (2017) and its amendments (No. 2) B.E. 2561 (2018).
Officials reported that the operation proceeded without any issues and emphasized their continued commitment to inspecting establishments for potential violations of foreign labor laws.
