Sports Development Fund invites Thai people to welcome 2024 Olympic heroes on a parade to celebrate victory

Today (16 August), the National Sports Development Fund and the Sports Authority of Thailand invite Thai people to welcome the 2024 Olympic athletes on a parade to Government House so that everyone can join in congratulating and celebrating their success. Six sports heroes, including 1 gold medal from Taekwondo, 49 kg women's category, namely "Tennis" Panipak Wongpattanakit, 3 silver medals from badminton, men's singles, namely "View" Kunlavut Vitidsarn, weightlifting, 61 kg men's category, namely "Fang" Thiraphong Silachai, weightlifting, 73 kg men's category, namely "Wave" Weerapol Wichuma. 2 bronze medals from boxing, 66 kg women's category: "B" Chanchaem Suwanpheng and weightlifting, 49 kg women's category: "Oil" Surjana Khambeaw At 11.00 am, the Thai heroes will take a victory parade car from the National Olympic Committee of Thailand office along the road to Government House. The parade route will turn left from the National Olympic Committee of Thailand and turn left at the intersection to enter Ph itsanulok Road, go straight until Suan Misakawan Intersection, and turn right at Suan Misakawan Intersection to enter Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, turn right at Saphan Phan Fa Lilat Intersection to enter Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, head straight past Democracy Monument, Khok Wua Intersection and Phra Mae Thorani Bib Muai Hom Intersection before turning right towards Thammasat University, Tha Phra Chan, past Wat Phra Kaew and turning left onto Ratchadamnoen Nai Road. Pass the Supreme Court and Phra Mae Thorani Bib Muai Hom intersection, turn right onto Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, turn left at Saphan Phan Fa Lilas intersection, head towards Ratchadamnoen Nok Road. Continue straight along Ratchadamnoen Nok Road until you reach Suan Misawan intersection, then turn right onto Phitsanulok Road, head towards Government House at approximately 12:00 noon to prepare to attend the victory celebration party, present prize money and express congratulations at Santi Maitri Building. There was Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, as the government representative to welcome and present prize money to all athletes who went to compete in the 33rd Olympic Games, a total of 16 sports associations. Athletes, coaches, and sports associations received prize money from 4 sports associations, totaling 65,900,000 baht. Athletes received medals, a total of 6 people, totaling 43,200,000 baht, as follows: 1. Panipak Wongpattanakit, Taekwondo athlete, received 1 gold medal and 12,000,000 baht in prize money. 2. Kunlavut Witidsarn, Badminton athlete, received 1 silver medal and 7,200,000 baht in prize money. 3. Thiraphong Silachai, Weightlifter, received 1 silver medal and 7,200,000 baht in prize money . 4. Wiraphon Wichuma, Weightlifter, received 1 silver medal and 7,200,000 baht in prize money. 5. Surachana Khambao, Weightlifter, received 1 bronze medal and 4,800,000 baht in prize money. 6. Chanchaem Suwanpheng, Boxer, received 1 bronze medal and 4,800,000 baht in prize money. Coaches and associ ations received medals, totaling 4 sports associations, totaling 18,000,000 baht, as follows: 1. Badminton Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, coaches and sports associations received a total of 3,000,000 baht in prize money. 2. Taekwondo Association of Thailand, coaches and sports associations received a total of 5,000,000 baht in prize money. 3. Boxing Association of Thailand, coaches and sports associations received a total of 2,000,000 baht in prize money. 4. Amateur Weightlifting Association of Thailand, coaches and sports associations received 8,000,000 baht.
