London: Football Insider, a well-known football media outlet, reports that Tottenham Hotspur are surprised that Liverpool have valued Cody Gakpo, the Dutch national team winger and one of their transfer targets, at a staggering £70 million.
According to Thai News Agency, Gakpo joined Liverpool from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and has made 180 appearances for the Reds, scoring 50 goals in all competitions.
However, Gakpo had a below-par performance in the 2025-26 season, scoring only 9 goals, leading Liverpool to look for a new winger. They have been linked with Bradley Barkola and Ibrahim Mbaye of Paris Saint-Germain.
