Stock Exchange of Thailand Hosts Roadshow in London to Attract Global Investors

London: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is organizing a significant roadshow in London, featuring five prominent Thai listed companies engaging with over 20 global funds. This strategic initiative aims to bolster international investment in Thailand's burgeoning economy.

According to Thai News Agency, the SET has partnered with CLSA (Thailand) and CITIC Securities to host the 'CLSA ASEAN Access Day in London' scheduled for May 20-21, 2026. The event will showcase five Thai listed companies: Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP), Muang Thai Capital Public Company Limited (MTC), PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR), SCB X Public Company Limited (SCB), and SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP).

Mr. Assadej Kongsiri, Director and President of the SET, highlighted the positive trajectory of the Thai economy, noting a 17.6% expansion in exports during the first quarter and a promising long-term outlook fueled by increased foreign investment and investment promotion applications via the Board of Investment (BOI). The SET Index has surged over 22% since the start of the year, buoyed by substantial net foreign capital inflows. Thailand's economic resilience, attractive stock market returns, and appealing stock prices contribute to its investment allure. The introduction of the JUMP+ project further enhances the market's attractiveness.

Mr. Assadej emphasized the roadshow's positive reception among over 20 leading funds, primarily large-cap funds from Europe investing in global and emerging markets. Institutional investors expressed interest in the Thai market, particularly in high-growth sectors resilient to economic fluctuations. The data presented underscored the Thai capital market's appeal as a stable long-term investment destination with sustainable growth potential, aligning with SET's mission of being "The Trusted Gateway to Inclusive Opportunities."

Following this event, the SET will participate in a roadshow with UBS Securities (Thailand) on May 27, 2026, in Hong Kong, and is set to attend the annual Thailand Focus 2026 seminar in August 2026.
