Suchart Chomklin Responds to No-Confidence Debate Inclusion

Baku:Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, expressed his readiness to address the opposition's claims during the upcoming no-confidence debate. He dismissed the opposition's actions as attempts to distort the truth and emphasized that such debates are a routine part of the political process for both the government and the opposition.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suchart sarcastically remarked that being targeted in every no-confidence debate suggests he possesses significant "magical power." He critiqued the debates as mere performances and accused the opposition of using them to discredit and create discord among coalition partners. He pointed out that the opposition's approach lacks factual basis and is driven by underlying issues.

Mr. Suchart stated that his inclusion in the no-confidence motion is unsurprising, noting that his name has always been on the list during his tenure as a minister. He called for parliamentary debates to focus on truth, with the public being informed of both sides of the issue. He also commented on the expected questions, suggesting they reflect the opposition's political challenges and urged the need for factual evidence to counter them.

The minister addressed potential internal coalition dynamics, dismissing concerns about provoking problems as immature and highlighting the longstanding political relationships with parties like the Kla Tham Party, which did not support the no-confidence motion. He stressed that political friendships and clear information are vital, especially in the face of baseless accusations.

Mr. Suchart downplayed the impact of young politicians' debates on government stability, describing them as political maneuvers rather than substantial challenges. He reiterated the need for evidence in political discussions and warned against using falsehoods, which he said undermine public trust in political institutions.
