Bangkok: Suchart Chomklin, former Deputy Minister of Commerce and an MP for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, led a group of 18 Phalang Pracharath Party (RTSP) members to meet with Anutin, fueling rumors of a potential government formation. The meeting comes as Santi's wife from the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) expresses readiness to support Sia Nu as Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, Suchart was accompanied by fellow party-list MP Thanakorn Wangboonkhongchana, Songkhla MP Sattra Sripan, Narathiwat MP Watchara Yawohasan, party-list MP Chaiwat Paopiemtra, Surat Thani MP Pramet Jina, Phetchaburi MP Thiwalrat Angkinan, Trang MP Thanompong Leekpai, and Chonburi MP Jirawut Singtothong. The group, part of the 18 Ruam Thai Sang Chart MPs, had previously posed for a photo with Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO and Director of Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF), before arriving at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters. They were greeted by Chaichanok Chidchob, the party's secretary-general, and other Bhumjaithai Party MPs.
When questioned by reporters about the purpose of his visit to the Bhumjaithai Party, Suchart humorously stated he was there "for coffee." He added that any support for Anutin as prime minister would require further discussion with the party secretary.
In a separate development, Wanpen Promphat, a Phetchabun MP for the Palang Pracharath Party, was seen leaving a Constitutional Court ruling session with Bhumjaithai Party leaders. When asked if she was prepared to support Anutin as prime minister, Wanpen nodded affirmatively. However, she did not comment on whether all Phetchabun MPs would follow suit or if discussions had been held with Palang Pracharath Party leader Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan.
