Bangkok: Supachai is preparing to take legal action against Sattraram, who alleges that members of the Bhumjaithai Party are the root cause of the social security corruption scandal.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, a candidate for MP on the party-list and chairman of the Bhumjaithai Party's legal working group, held a press conference regarding news reports today. These reports stated that Mr. Satharam Thammabussadee, a member of the Social Security Board representing insured persons and a former founder of the Future Forward Party, had indicated that if the party wanted to gain political popularity in the final week of the election, they should either address the corruption within the Social Security system, which he claimed was the source of within the Bhumjaithai Party, or use their power as the government to control election centers. Mr. Supachai stated that the claim alleging corruption within the Social Security system originating from within the Bhumjaithai Party constitutes defamation and false accusations against the Bhumjaithai Party. The party's legal team will consider taking legal action against Mr. Satharam in this matter.
