Bangkok: "Supamas" has directed the Consumer Protection Board to swiftly assist victims of the Lat Phrao brewery fire by establishing a complaints center and coordinating aid for those affected. Ms. Suphamas Isarabhakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, expressed condolences over the tragic incident and outlined measures to support the injured and families of the deceased.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister has instructed relevant agencies to provide urgent aid and investigate the incident. Ms. Suphamas tasked key officials with inspecting the scene and coordinating with the Chatuchak District Office and other agencies to expedite relief efforts. A "Complaint and Assistance Coordination Center for Victims (Front Line)" has been established at Phahonyothin MRT Station to facilitate legal advice and compensation claims.
Ms. Suphamas emphasized that consumers have the right to safety and instructed the Consumer Protection Board to mediate between victims and business operators for fair compensation. The CPB will gather evidence for potential legal action if business operators fail to compensate victims. The Phaholyothin Police Station will handle criminal investigations.
The CPB is committed to supporting victims and ensuring timely compensation. Affected individuals are encouraged to file complaints at the established coordination center or contact the CPB hotline for assistance.
