Beijing: TCP Group, the global beverage giant known for brands like Red Bull, Sponsor, and Mansome, has made waves in China by sponsoring the 14th Red Bull Desert Adventure. This marks the first time ‘Red Bull’ has officially sponsored the event, which is one of the most challenging desert running events worldwide. The adventure, celebrated in the Tengger Desert, Inner Mongolia, saw Thai representatives embark on a mission alongside 4,000 runners from May 2-4, 2025, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Thai-China diplomatic relations.
According to Thai News Agency, the Red Bull Desert Adventure is a renowned event that challenges participants in a harsh desert environment. This year, MBA and EMBA students from over 110 prestigious institutions participated in races covering distances of 33 kilometers, 70 kilometers, and 99 kilometers. Red Bull’s involvement as a main sponsor for the first time added a new dimension to the event, aligning with its brand ethos of pushing physical and mental boundaries. TCP Group also sent Thai runners to compete in the 33-kilometer race, aiming to inspire fellow Thais with Red Bull’s support.
Mr. Sarawut Yoovidhya, CEO of TCP Group, expressed pride in supporting the event during this significant anniversary year. He emphasized that the sponsorship reflects the strong ties between Thailand and China and TCP Group’s commitment to fostering strategic cooperation. The group’s ongoing operations in China since 1993, including major investments in production facilities, highlight its dedication to the market. Today, Red Bull is one of China’s fastest-growing energy drink brands, offering a diverse product range that resonates with local consumers.
The event concluded with a celebration, recognizing the male and female winners with tickets to the Amazing Thailand Marathon 2025. This prize, including travel and accommodation, was provided by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, further symbolizing the enduring friendship between Thailand and China and the shared journey towards new challenges.
