Khon kaen: The protracted legal battle between singer Kru Toey Apiwat and his ex-wife, Kanom Sasikarn, has reached a resolution following a court mediation. The man has agreed to a 10 million baht child support settlement, which will be paid in installments over a 20-year period. The agreement grants the woman sole custody of their children, while the father’s visitation rights remain intact.
According to Thai News Agency, the dispute arose from their recent breakup, with disagreements over the terms of the child support agreement. Kru Toey had previously affirmed his commitment to monthly transfers but expressed a preference for using bills to cover expenses, facilitating interaction with his child. On the other hand, Kanom sought a clear arrangement on whether the payments should be divided or made in a lump sum. Compounding the issue was the unresolved matter of the man’s acknowledgment of paternity. The court has intervened to ensure a fair outcome for both parties involved.
