Bangkok: In the final stretch of the Bangkok gubernatorial election, "Team Chatchart" conveyed 22 policy goals through art created by 24 artists. These included policies such as easily accessible cities, cleaner air, more free time for teachers, more play space for children, better care for senior citizens, and cities that embrace diversity. The campaign became a visual representation of the Bangkok they collectively envision.
According to Thai News Agency, in the final week of the campaign, Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, Bangkok gubernatorial candidate number 9, along with his Bangkok campaign team, continued to emphasize creative campaigning methods. They transformed billboards into art galleries, reflecting a departure from traditional campaign signs. Instead of using traditional signs, they provided space for artists to express their policies through art in their own style, making these signs objects people willingly photograph and share.
This week, the 'Bangkok at Work' team presented artworks from 24 artists, depicting 22 policies out of over 250 policies of Chatchart's team. The artists included emerging artists, established artists, and autistic artists such as Abig Burger, ALANLERT, Livelyhood, A.YA.YOI, Dewy, Goodnight.xinqxinq, Jmons, miminini, Monty, OLE, Y33Y33, Pop Twatpong, POLAND, Sandier, Suthichat Saraphiwanich, Sourpemi, Tent Katchakul, THE DUANG, Underhatdaddy, VIPUT A., Yhenjai, and artists from the Artstory By Autistic Thai project: Ms. Sireethorn Phuripreecha, Mr. Kris Khwaengsopa, and Ms. Wimonreka Somphir.
For this campaign poster series, each artist was given a different policy brief and interpreted it into artworks in their own styles, aiming to communicate urban policies in a more accessible way. The posters are being displayed on screens along the Bon Kai expressway yesterday, and at Siam Square One and Siam Walking Street from June 21-27, 2026.
The "Bangkok at Work" team stated that the policies presented here are only a selection from over 250 policies of Chadchart's team. The public can find details of all policies on the website teamchadchart.com, the Facebook page Chadchart Sittiphan, and the Team Chadchart page.
In its final week, the LED campaign signs served as a mini-exhibition, inviting Bangkokians to view the election campaign from a new perspective-from a political advertising space to a place where artists, citizens, and city policies converge in one location.
