Tee Angthong Taken Into Custody for Fatal Shooting of Love Rival

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya:Police have taken Mr. Watanyu, also known as "Tee," into custody for the fatal shooting of Mr. Thanabodi, referred to as "Ang," in front of a factory in Wang Noi District. The incident, which occurred on the evening of October 19th, stemmed from a love triangle involving Mr. Tee, the victim's girlfriend Ms. Phatsorn, or "Por," and the victim himself.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Tee is facing four charges, including premeditated murder and three firearms-related offenses. The suspect, a resident of Ang Thong Province, was escorted from the detention cell by officers from the Wang Noi Police Station to be remanded in custody at the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Court. Concerns for Mr. Tee's safety and clear evidence meant that no crime reenactment was conducted.

The altercation was motivated by jealousy, as Mr. Tee had invested significant time and resources, reportedly hundreds of thousands of baht, in pursuing Ms. Phatsorn. However, she only considered him a friend and had begun a relationship with Mr. Thanabodi.

During the morning of his court appearance, Mr. Tee appeared calm and emotionless, declining to comment to reporters. Police noted that he slept normally the previous night and exhibited no signs of stress, possibly due to his reserved nature. His family, including his mother and son, visited him prior to his court appearance, providing him with water and meals. They are expected to accompany him to the court proceedings.

The clear evidence in the case includes CCTV footage that captured the entire incident, leading to the decision against conducting a crime scene reenactment. The case has attracted significant public attention and online criticism, further influencing the police's decision.
