Bangkok: The Futures Exchange has extended trading hours for Currency Futures products during the night until 3 a.m. the next day and extended trading hours for Precious Metal Futures products during the daytime. Allowing you to trade continuously without breaks. To be more consistent with global market trading times, starting 15 Jan. 2024. Ms. Rinjai Chakornpipat, Managing Director of Thailand Futures Exchange Public Company Limited (TFEX), said TFEX is preparing to extend trading hours during the night (Night Session) for Currency Futures products, including USD Futures, EUR/USD Futures and USD/JPY Futures will now be able to be traded until around midnight (11:55 p.m.) to be traded until 3:00 a.m. the next day. In addition, trading hours will be extended during the daytime for Precious Metal Futures products, including Gold Online Futures, Gold. Futures, Gold-D and Silver Online Futures can be traded continuously from 9:45 a.m. - 4:55 p.m., without a lunch break. So that investors can manage risk and adju st their trading strategies to keep up with the situation and movements of currency and gold prices in the world market. The new trading hours will be effective from 15 January 2024 onwards as follows. In 2023, the Currency Futures and Precious Metal Futures groups had the same trading proportion at 9% of the total trading volume. with an average trading volume of 47,044 and 45,878 contracts per day, respectively, while the Currency Futures product group grew by 11% compared to 2022, a result of currency fluctuations and increased trading popularity.
