Bangkok: New businesses continue to thrive, with over 80,000 companies registered in the first 11 months of 2025, reflecting confidence in the Thai economy.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed that data on new corporate registrations nationwide between January and November 2025 showed a total of 80,064 new companies established. This reflects the confidence of entrepreneurs in the direction of the Thai economy and the continued investment by the private sector.
The month with the highest number of new company registrations was January 2025, with 8,862 companies, marking the beginning of the year when many entrepreneurs decide to start new businesses. Conversely, April 2025 had the lowest number of registrations at 6,325 companies, coinciding with the long Songkran holiday period.
The day with the highest number of company registrations was August 8, 2025, with 779 companies. This was followed by September 9, 2025, with 767 companies, and January 9, 2025, with 716 companies. It was observed that several days with high registration numbers contain repeating or auspicious numbers, reflecting the entrepreneurial behavior of prioritizing the timing of business startups.
The deputy spokesperson stated that the figures reflect the strength of the Thai business sector, which continues to adapt, move forward, and see economic opportunities amidst a volatile global economic context. The government will continue to support the economic environment, investment, and business operations to strengthen Thai entrepreneurs and ensure sustainable growth.
