Thai Government Partners with Thai Namthip to Enhance Women’s Vocational Skills

Nonthaburi: Actively developing women's and family skills, transforming "giving" into "opportunities for career creation," the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security marked a significant step forward with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement, aimed at promoting and developing vocational skills for women and families, was signed between the Department of Women and Family Affairs and Thai Namthip Corporation Public Company Limited. Mr. Kantapong Rangsisawang, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, witnessed the signing ceremony. Ms. Jatuporn Rojpanich, Director-General of the Department of Women and Family Affairs, and Ms. Pundarika Susanthitpong, Assistant Managing Director for Corporate Relations, Communications and Sustainability at Thai Namthip, were the signatories. The event, held at Challenger Hall, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, was attended by ministry executives, officials, distinguished guests, and media representatives.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Chatuporn highlighted the importance of collaboration in today's challenging world, emphasizing that working alone is no longer sufficient. She expressed her confidence that the MOU would serve as a foundation for practical actions leading to sustainable positive outcomes. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, through the Department of Women and Family Affairs, is committed to implementing government policies that ensure equal opportunities and employment for all Thais. This commitment aligns with the policy of the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, Mr. Nikorn Somklang, who focuses on creating a society of well-being and opportunity. The initiative aims to shift from mere "giving" to creating opportunities for vulnerable groups, enabling them to support themselves and their families, thereby contributing to social development and sustainable economic growth.

Ms. Chatuporn further elaborated that this collaboration is rooted in a shared vision between the Department of Social Development and Human Security and Thai Namthip Corporation, along with the Thai Namthip Foundation. These private sector organizations, leaders in the beverage industry, support vocational training at Women and Family Development Learning Centers and Career Protection and Development Centers. The partnership includes joint efforts to promote and develop vocational skills for women and families, thereby generating income and improving quality of life through training activities, knowledge development, and resource support.
