Bangkok: The Thai women's national futsal team is training hard before competing in the World Championship.
According to Thai News Agency, the team is preparing for two significant events: the Futsal World Championship in the Philippines and the 2025 SEA Games women's futsal in Thailand. Head coach Thanathorn Santanaprasit, known as "Coach O," is leading the 21-member team through rigorous training sessions.
The team is under the leadership of goalkeeper Nuengruethai Sorhong, supported by defenders Hataichanok Thepkhun, Natthamon Artkla, and Petchdao Luankaew. Wingers Patitta Moonpho and Saengrawee Meekham, along with forwards Darika Pianphailun, Praeploy Huajaiphet, and Ariya Sae-Ten, are also key players in the squad. Players "Nong Praew" Patitta Moonpho and "Chompoo" Ariya Sae-Ten expressed their readiness for the World Championship, acknowledging the high level of competition they will face. Their goal is to prepare thoroughly and aim to progress to at least the second round of the tournament.
Team manager "Big Tae" Kritsada Sajjakul announced a warm-up match against the Brazilian national team in Nakhon Ratchasima Province prior to the World Championship. This match is expected to provide valuable experience for the Thai team, and Sajjakul encourages fans to support them.
The 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup will take place in the Philippines from November 21 to December 7, followed by the SEA Games women's futsal competition in Thailand from December 9 to 19.
