Bangkok: The Thai women's national volleyball team is set to play its first match against Mongolia this afternoon at 2:00 PM in the 2026 Asian Games. Coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriengkrai is preparing to lead the 2026 Asian champions in this pivotal match.
According to Thai News Agency, the roster of 12 players for the Thai team includes Pornpun Guedparach, Nattanicha Jaisan, Pimpichaya Kokram, Ajcharaporn Kongyot, Thaddao Nuekjeng, Kanyarat Khunmuang, Kaewkallaya Kamulthala, Sasipaporn Chantaravisut, Warisara Seethalert, Chatchuon Moksri, Piyanut Pannoy, and Kalyarat Khamwong. The head-to-head statistics between the Thai and Mongolian teams show that Thailand has won all three previous encounters, including a 3-0 victory in the 2022 Asian Games.
For the 20th Asian Games women's volleyball competition, which will take place from September 16-22, there will be 14 teams competing, divided into four groups in the first round. Group C, which includes Thailand, also features Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia. Other groups consist of Japan, Indonesia, and Nepal in Group A; China, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines in Group B; and Vietnam, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Qatar in Group D.
