Bangkok: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), in collaboration with four partners, is set to host 'Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand' from August 26-28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok. This event aims to connect listed companies with global investors, showcasing investment opportunities and fostering collaborations to boost Thailand's economic landscape.
According to Thai News Agency, the event will be officiated by Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, who will deliver a keynote address. Participants will include Mr. Ekanat Promphan, Minister of Energy, along with business leaders, capital market officials, and senior executives from listed companies. They will present investment opportunities and discuss the growth trajectory of Thai businesses, aiming to reinforce confidence among institutional investors worldwide.
Mr. Assadej Kongsiri, President and CEO of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), emphasized the significance of the event in presenting information about the Thai capital market's potential to institutional investors. Since the start of the year, the SET has been actively engaging with investors in major investment hubs. The Thailand Focus event serves as a flagship platform for 78 Thai listed companies to directly communicate with global institutional investors, providing insights across various industry sectors.
The event also highlights the involvement of 16 companies from the JUMP+ project, which will share their three-year plans to enhance business value, focusing on business operations, governance, and greenhouse gas management. Additionally, senior executives from six ASEAN stock exchanges will participate, sharing insights on capital growth across the ASEAN region.
Mr. Assadej noted that the Thai stock market has shown remarkable performance, with the SET Index increasing by nearly 30% since the beginning of the year, ranking fourth highest globally. This surge reflects the renewed investor confidence, bolstered by foreign investment inflows, improved credit ratings for Thailand, and clear governmental economic policies aimed at long-term growth. He also highlighted the resilience and adaptability of Thai businesses in transforming global economic challenges into opportunities.
'Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand' is organized by the SET in partnership with CLSA Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd., DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Kiatnakin Phatra Securities Public Company Limited, BofA Securities, and UBS Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The event's proceedings on August 26, 2026, will be broadcast live from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on SET Thailand's Facebook and YouTube channels.
