Bangkok: “Atthakorn” emphasizes the 2025 SEA Games’ emphasis on maximum safety and is ready to take care of athletes from all countries.
According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Tourism and Sports emphasized the utmost importance of safety at the 33rd SEA Games. Athletes from all participating countries traveling to compete in Thailand will experience uniform standards of care. The Minister expressed hopes that visitors will leave Thailand with positive experiences and good impressions.
Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, shared updates on preparations for the 33rd SEA Games. Thailand will host the event from December 9-20, 2025, in Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. The Minister underscored the critical focus on safety during the competition, ensuring all athletes are well taken care of.
The Minister emphasized that safety is a priority. Measures are in place to ensure the safety of athletes from all countries, including those from nations with border disputes like Cambodia. The goal is to make athletes and officials feel content and secure during their stay in Thailand.
The 33rd SEA Games will see the participation of athletes from 11 countries, totaling over 12,000 individuals. These countries include Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Brunei, and Timor-Leste. The opening ceremony will be held on December 9, 2025, at Rajamangala National Stadium, SAT, Hua Mak, with official competitions beginning on December 10, 2025.
