Thailand Seeks New Zealand Investment in Tourism, Agriculture

Auckland: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met with executives from top New Zealand companies in Auckland to discuss trade and investment opportunities in tourism and agriculture.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin met representatives from tourism operator Skyline Enterprises and global fruit exporter TandG Global. During the meeting with Skyline Enterprises, he urged the firm to expand into Thailand, highlighting the country's growing family tourism sector.

In talks with TandG Global, Anutin proposed Thailand as a regional distribution hub for the firm's expansion into Southeast Asia and India, citing the nation's logistics network and agricultural production base. He also asked for cooperation to expand market access for Thai fruits in Europe.

The Board of Investment has been tasked with following up on the discussions to convert investor interest into concrete projects.
