Thaksin Unfazed by Chanchai’s Supreme Court Petition Over Hospital Stay

Chiang Mai: Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister, expressed no concern over former Democrat MP Chanchai Issarasenarak’s recent petition to the Supreme Court. The petition calls for an investigation into Thaksin’s stay on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital.

According to Thai News Agency, Chanchai’s petition was filed with the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions. It seeks an arrest warrant for Thaksin, arguing that he has not served his prison sentence as per the court’s verdict and was inappropriately transferred to the hospital. Despite these developments, Thaksin stated in an interview in Chiang Mai that he is not worried about the situation, emphasizing that the matter is being handled within the justice system.
