Thammanat Emphasizes National Unity Amid Political Tensions

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, has urged a focus on addressing the nation’s issues and promoting unity among the Thai people. He expressed this sentiment while stating his unawareness of the opposition’s plans for a no-confidence motion, emphasizing that nothing should be done to exacerbate the situation.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thamanat commented on recent political issues, including the release of images implicating scammers associated with current and former government leaders. When questioned about his concerns regarding these developments, he stated, “Let’s not talk about that yet. Let’s focus on national affairs first, and on things that will foster unity among Thais.”

In response to inquiries about the opposition’s planned no-confidence motion and whether it should be postponed due to the current political climate, Captain Thamanat expressed his inability to speak on behalf of others. He reiterated that the primary focus should be on national affairs, highlighting that everyone is aware of the situation and stressing the importance of not adding to the burden faced by those working diligently at this time.
