Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, revealed about the Orange Line electric train project that after the court's decision, today it has been presented to the Cabinet meeting. Everything will follow the pending system. At present, there are no problems or obstacles. As for when the contractor will be called in to sign the contract, he asked to wait for the Supreme Administrative Court's decision first because everything is following the process and procedures. As for when the public will be able to use the Orange Line, Mr. Surapong stated that the period when construction is completed first will be opened for service first. Currently, there are problems with the legal case. Therefore, wherever it is completed first, we will open for service first to avoid maintenance costs. From now on, we ask for 2 weeks to discuss and reach a conclusion. Then, we will make an official announcement. Mr. Surapong also admitted that both software and hardware must be prepared to match the schedule for the train. The government's policy is to operate at 20 baht throughout the line. After this, there will be integration, connecting the wheel, rail, and boat systems, and he said that there will be no more obstacles in connecting differ ent colored trains. The State Railway of Thailand will also have a Thai-Chinese high-speed train, with various phases to be presented to the cabinet meeting.
