The court has scheduled the first hearing for ‘Big Joke-Achariya’, the litigant in the defamation case.

Criminal Court, July 5 - The Bangkok South Criminal Court has summoned 'Big Joke-Achariya', the parties involved in the defamation case, to be examined. 'Big Joke' has declared that he will withdraw all lawsuits against everyone, including the Prime Minister, only when he returns to the Royal Thai Police Headquarters. Today, the Bangkok South Criminal Court has summoned the parties, Pol. Gen. Surachet Hakpal or Big Joke, and Mr. Atchariya Ruangrattanapong, president of the Crime Victim Assistance Association, to the court for a hearing to examine the grounds of the lawsuit filed by Pol. Gen. Surachet against Mr. Atchariya for defamation by advertising. This is the first hearing after the court previously scheduled a mediation but failed. Mr. Atchariya said that there had been discussions to withdraw the lawsuit from the court, but at this point he was not sure whether 'Big Joke' would withdraw the lawsuit or not. For the defamation cases that 'Big Joke' sued him, there were 2 cases and Big Joke's team sued another 5 cases, totaling 7 cases. If 'Big Joke' did not withdraw the cases today, he was ready to fight the cases in court. This case is the first of the 7 cases that were sued. He also revealed that there was a secret deal where 'Big Joke' asked him to be the mediator to coordinate with Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukwimol, the national police chief, which he could not do because 'Big To' had not been answering anyone's phone calls recently. He saw that it was a matter between two people and could not interfere. He also saw that 'Big Joke' proceeding to sue many people and go to the media had affected many parties. He confirmed that if there was anything to discuss, he asked to talk in court. Pol. Gen. Surachet said that this was the first hearing after the court had set a date for mediation but it was unsuccessful because he refused mediation because he saw that Mr. Atchariya's references were an attack on his rights, were defamation, and were insulting, causing hatred, so he had to exercise his right to sue. He als o confirmed that he would not withdraw the lawsuit and would only withdraw it when he returned to the Royal Thai Police Office. He would withdraw the lawsuits in every case, every party involved, including the Prime Minister. In this regard, 'Big Joke' also confirmed that there was no secret deal for Mr. Atchariya to coordinate with the national police chief, and he was not aware of the case in which Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves came out to state that the withdrawal of the lawsuit against Mr. Settha Thavisin to the NACC was due to a request from Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, the former prime minister.
