The Ministry of Culture is pushing Thai Soft Power to the world stage, bringing 9 Thai film and video entrepreneurs to join the Tokyo International Film Festival 2024 from October 30 - November 1, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, expanding the market and business networks, expecting to generate income of no less than 500 million baht. Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitchkosol, Minister of Culture, revealed that the Ministry of Culture has a policy to promote, create, and drive cultural capital into economic capital, and to develop and push cultural products and services to increase their share in the global market, as well as drive Thailand's Soft Power in films, dramas, series, documentaries, and animations to the international level, and to create a network of cooperation between Thai and foreign entrepreneurs to open up opportunities to create new markets by supporting entrepreneurs and personnel in the film and video industry to participate in international festivals and award ceremonies. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture has organized an activity to promote and disseminate films and videos abroad (Roadshow) in 2024 at the Tokyo International Film Festival 2024 (TIFFCOM 2024) from October 30 to November 1, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. The Minister of Culture also said that this year, the Ministry of Culture has selected 9 Thai film and video operators to jointly set up booths to promote and distribute their work on behalf of Thailand at TIFFCOM 2024, namely: 1. Wonderland Productions Co., Ltd. 2. M Distribution Co., Ltd. 3. Thongkham Films Co., Ltd. 4. Mee Ruang Ma Lao Co., Ltd. 5. True CJ Creations Co., Ltd. 6. Lockman 2011 Co., Ltd. 7. Kantana Post Production (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 8. The Monk Studio Co., Ltd. and 9. White Light Studio Co., Ltd. 'Participating in the Tokyo International Film Festival is an opportunity for Thai entrepreneurs to expand their business negotiations, increase their income from copyright sales and distribution of their works abroad, as well as expand their business networks and find new partners or inv estors in the Japanese and Asian markets. It is expected that the income from business negotiations will be no less than 500 million baht. In addition, it is a way to promote Thailand's good image and various soft powers such as food, tourist attractions, arts and culture through film and video media to the world stage.
