The Royal Thai Air Force uses helicopters to deliver food to help villagers in flooded areas.

The Royal Thai Air Force sent helicopters to help transport food boxes and drinking water to people trapped in flooded areas in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. Reporters reported that after General Songwit Noonpakdee, the Supreme Commander, had a meeting with the Chiang Rai Governor and relevant agencies to integrate assistance for people affected by flooding in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, it appeared that there are still some areas where flat-bottomed boats are unable to help people and distribute boxed meals with drinking water. The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces has coordinated with the Royal Thai Air Force to dispatch an EC725 helicopter from Wing 41 in Chiang Mai Province to deliver boxed meals and drinking water to people who are suffering and cannot leave the area due to the fast-flowing water, which prevents boats from reaching their homes. However, the rain has not stopped, causing the current to continue to flow rapidly. Tomorrow (12 September), the Commander -in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces will fly to survey the area around Mae Sai District to gather information to consider and order assistance for the people until the situation improves.
