The Senate has raised funds and supplies to donate to help flood victims in the North.

Senators raise 400,000 baht and supplies, send representatives to the area to donate to help flood victims in the North on 18 Sept. General Kriangkrai Srirak, First Vice President of the Senate, handed over the money donated by the Senate members to Mr. Prinya Wongcherdkwan, a member of the Senate, to help flood victims in the northern region. The Senate donated approximately 400,000 baht, including ready-to-eat food and other items to help flood victims in Chiang Rai and nearby provinces. Last week, the Senate traveled to provide assistance in the area once. This time, Mr. Prinya and a group of Senate friends will travel on September 18 to deliver items to flood victims. They will coordinate with the local disaster relief center to go to the area to provide assistance. They did not travel in large numbers because they were afraid that it would be a burden for local officials. General Kriangkrai said that the Senate is worried all the time and has been following the news of the flood situation.
