Probation Department, Director-General of the Probation Department Revealing the accumulated drunk driving statistics for 6 days (29 Dec. 2023 - 3 Jan. 24) during the New Year festival, the accumulated total was almost 7,000 cases, of which over 6,700 were drunk driving cases. Mr. Rueangsak Suwaree, Director-General of the Probation Department, revealed that the statistics of court-ordered probation cases (January 3, 2024) totaled 1,633 cases, classified as 1,571 cases of driving while intoxicated, 1 case of careless driving, and 61 drug driving cases for the cumulative total of 6 days with strict control from December 29, 2023 - January 3, 2024. There is a cumulative total of 6,954 cases, classified as 6,766 cases of driving while intoxicated, accounting for 97.3 percent of driving cases. 4 cases of negligence, accounting for 0.06 percent, and 184 cases of drugged driving, accounting for 2.64 percent.
