Phetchabun:A thief was caught in the act at a store located on the Saraburi-Lomsak road in Moo 4, Nong Khwai Subdistrict, Lomsak District. The suspect was observed selecting items and placing them in a personal bag before trying to leave the premises.
According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the incident, showing a store employee in a blue shirt confronting the thief. The suspect had parked a motorcycle in front of the store, entered, and attempted to avoid the CCTV cameras while concealing items in a bag he brought with him.
The store owner, Ms. Thiranan, explained that the incident occurred on the evening of October 2nd. The suspect's behavior aroused suspicion when he prepared to leave the store with an old bag and without a receipt, which contradicted the store's usual practice of providing new bags after payment. Confronted by a vigilant staff member, the suspect refused to produce a receipt.
As the suspect attempted to flee on his motorcycle, the staff member gave chase and successfully apprehended him. The police were subsequently notified, leading to the suspect's detention.
