Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya: Three people and a dog were tragically electrocuted in a garage in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
According to Thai News Agency, the deceased were found beside a van in the garage. Mr. Udomsak, 73, Mr. Thira, 34, and Mae Chee Kanokporn, 75, were identified as the victims, with their bodies showing signs of electrocution. A dog was also found dead next to the vehicle.
Ms. Wanwimol, the wife of Mr. Thira, was devastated by the loss. She recounted that it had rained the previous evening, and when she couldn’t find her husband in the morning, she discovered his body near the van. Attempting to touch him resulted in an electric shock to herself, prompting her to call the authorities. The other two victims were relatives known for feeding the household pets.
Police investigations revealed that the garage’s steel frame had electrical wires threaded through it, with circuit breakers attached, suggesting that the initial electrocution may have triggered subsequent fatalities as others attempted a rescue.
In an unrelated incident, a lightning strike killed four cows in Chaiyaphum Province. Mr. Boonma and Mrs. Thongchan, residents of Ban Non Pa Chat, narrowly avoided the tragedy by taking shelter in their home. The lightning struck their cow pen, resulting in the deaths of four cows. The couple expressed their shock and sadness at the loss, having secured the remaining cows in a different pen for safety.
