Bangkok: Two teams of emerging creators have been crowned champions in the Awakening Digital Literacy Creator 2026 competition. The Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), in collaboration with Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park), announced the winners, Team One To Two and Team Son Yon, for their innovative campaigns under the theme "Igniting Ideas, Sharing Knowledge, for a Digital Society."
According to Thai News Agency, the competition, organized by ETDA under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and the Knowledge Management and Development Office (OKMD), saw participation from the government, private sector, and international organizations. Team One To Two, consisting of students, impressed with their campaign "Co-Exit: Understanding Screens, Understanding People," while Team Son Yon, representing the general public, won with their campaign "AI-WOKE Teen Citizen: Awakened Digital Citizens." Both teams received over 200,000 baht in prize money, trophies, certificates, and an opportunity to further develop their projects.
Dr. Chaichana Mitraphan, Director of ETDA, emphasized the importance of using AI responsibly and with awareness. Data from ETDA highlighted that Gen Z is significantly affected by rapid digital changes, prompting initiatives like the ETDA Digital Citizen (EDC) project and the EDC Plus course to foster responsible AI usage. The Awakening Digital Literacy Creator 2026 event is a crucial step in empowering EDC Trainers to become knowledge creators, contributing to the digital resilience of Thai society.
Dr. Tawarut Sutabutr, Director of OKMD, highlighted the role of OKMD and TK Park in making learning accessible and relevant. The competition aligns with these goals, transforming participants from mere learners to creators who can design thoughtful digital communication strategies.
The event, co-hosted by ETDA and TK Park, included input from various specialized partners to ensure its relevance to Thailand's digital society challenges. Teams created campaigns based on themes like AI Awareness, Digital Empathy, and Living in Balance with AI, which were judged by a panel of experts from diverse sectors.
The student category saw Team One To Two winning for their campaign encouraging balance between online interactions and human emotions. The general public category was won by Team Son Yon for their school-based participatory exhibition promoting balanced AI use.
Awakening Digital Literacy Creator 2026 is not just a competition but a transformative platform fostering digital literacy and creativity among participants, supported by leading professionals and partner organizations committed to developing quality digital citizens.
