Udon Thani Airport Hosts Moc Market to Boost Local Entrepreneur Sales

Udon Thani:Waiting for flights at Udon Thani Airport is now more engaging, thanks to the Moc Market, which showcases local Udon Thani products and offers travelers a unique shopping experience.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Supajee Suthamphan, along with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and her delegation, visited Udon Thani Province during the Cabinet's mobile meeting. They inspected the Moc Market at Udon Thani Airport, which features 11 local entrepreneurs selling agricultural products, community products, and souvenirs directly to travelers.

The initiative allows the public to purchase local products while facilitating convenient transport with free fruit packaging boxes. Entrepreneurs benefit from additional sales channels and income opportunities. Last year, the Moc Market operated in three provinces, generating total sales exceeding 9.24 million baht, with plans to expand to four provinces, holding a total of 12 events by 2027.

During the visit on November 2, 2026, key figures from the Ministry of Commerce followed up on efforts to promote sales channels for agricultural and community products. This initiative aims to increase market opportunities and boost income for local entrepreneurs.

The Moc Market serves as a platform for promoting local products, capitalizing on the high passenger traffic at Udon Thani Airport. This not only enhances sales opportunities but also highlights the unique cultural identity of the community through a diverse range of products.

From October 30 to November 5, 2026, 11 entrepreneurs participated at the airport, offering items like silk, cotton clothing, herbal products, and souvenirs. The Udon Thani Provincial Commerce Office supported the event by providing 1,000 free fruit packaging boxes, aiding travelers in transporting fruit and supporting local sales.

Between October 2025 and September 2026, 22 Moc Market events in Udon Thani, Nong Khai, and Nong Bua Lamphu provinces supported 256 entrepreneurs, generating sales of over 9 million baht. The Ministry of Commerce plans to expand these events to include Bueng Kan province in 2027, aiming to connect agricultural products with potential distribution channels and widely distribute economic benefits throughout the community.
