Uniqlo and Tong-Kawin Launch Third Football Skills Training for Thai Youth

Bangkok: Uniqlo and Tong-Kawin Thamsatchanan have partnered to launch the third iteration of their football skills training program under the UNIQLO Next Generation Development Program, held at the Polo Football Park in April 2025.

According to Thai News Agency, this initiative is part of Uniqlo’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Thai youth through sports. The program, a collaboration with Kawin Academy, aims to develop basic football skills and promote unity among Thai children aged 8-10. It offers training for both player and goalkeeper positions, along with activities to foster teamwork and new friendships.

Participants shared their positive experiences, with Mr. Phumipat Phawaphatchakun expressing his desire to join future events, inspired by his dream of playing for the national team. Another participant, Mr. Phachai Phumrasewet, a first-time attendee, highlighted the enjoyment and skills gained from the program, emphasizing his gratitude towards Uniqlo and Phi Tong for the opportunity.

The UNIQLO Next Generation Development Program, initially launched in Japan, has expanded globally, offering sports skills training across various disciplines in collaboration with renowned sports figures. In Thailand, the program began in April 2024, featuring football training with Tong-Kawin Thamsatchanan, a legendary Thai goalkeeper. Participants also benefit from using Uniqlo’s functional sportswear during the activities.
