Palisades: The USGA has announced an increase of $500,000 in prize money for the 81st US Women's Open at Riviera Golf Club, raising the total to $12.5 million. This increase positions the event as having the highest prize money in women's golf history.

According to Thai News Agency, the total prize money for the 2026 US Women's Open Presented by Ally has been set at $12.5 million, equivalent to approximately 409.4 million baht. The champion will receive $2.5 million, marking a rise from the previous year's $2.4 million, which was claimed by Swedish golfer Maya Stark.

The championship will be held at Riviera Golf Club in Palisades, California, from June 4-7. A total of 156 golfers will compete in a 72-hole stroke play tournament. After the first 36 holes, the top 60 players, along with those tied for the score, will advance to the final rounds.

This prestigious event draws top female golfers worldwide, including professionals and amateurs, to vie for a major championship. Notably, Thai golfer Ariya Jutanugarn won the event in 2018, marking her second major title.
