Bangkok: Legal action is underway as Koi Tarika demands payment from a series producer who has repeatedly delayed payments and failed to honor checks.
According to Thai News Agency, the entertainment industry is currently grappling with financial issues, with borrowing and scams becoming prevalent topics. Koi Tarika, a veteran actress, recently took to social media to publicly demand payment from a producer, captioning her post as a “Notice to a series producer.” She explained that she was offered a role in a series, and filming proceeded as scheduled. Despite the series having already aired, Tarika has not received the full payment that was initially agreed upon.
The producer in question has postponed the payment several times and issued a check that could not be cashed. Following negotiations, a reason and a new deadline for the full payment were provided, yet it has now been delayed for an additional five to six months. Tarika is urging her clients to adhere to the payment deadline, as her accounting and legal teams are currently compiling documents to initiate legal proceedings.
