The spokesperson highlighted the significance of this visit as it aligns with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam. The theme, "New Chapter of the 50th Thailand - Viet Nam Diplomatic Relations: Enhancing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership," aims to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This includes cooperation in security, economics, and trade through the Three Connects strategy and collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, as well as promoting people-to-people relations.
On May 28, 2026, the Prime Minister will officially welcome Mr. To Lam and Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly at Government House. This platform aims to promote economic and investment cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, allowing Thai entrepreneurs investing in Vietnam to engage directly with Vietnamese leaders. It offers an opportunity to discuss suggestions, receive support, and collaboratively address business challenges, fostering a long-term economic partnership.
The visit will conclude with the Prime Minister and his wife hosting a formal dinner in honor of the Vietnamese leader and his wife at the Santi Maitri Building (Outer Wing) of Government House.
