Warawut Orders Mental Health Support for Families Affected by Suphan Buri Shooting

Suphan Buri: "Warawut" has directed the Suphan Buri Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office to provide mental health support to the families affected by the recent shooting spree that resulted in three fatalities.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, addressed the tragic incident that occurred in Village 2, Ban Don Subdistrict, U Thong District, Suphan Buri Province. The shooting left three individuals dead and one injured. Mr. Varawut assured that local authorities have secured the area, and children near the scene are being cared for in a safe environment. The police are actively monitoring the perpetrators using advanced technologies, though details on their movements remain undisclosed.

Mr. Varawut extended his condolences to the families of the deceased. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) has dispatched the provincial MSDHS to engage with the affected families, offering mental health support and coordinating with relevant agencies to keep the situation under control.

Mr. Warawut admitted his shock upon hearing the news, which has understandably caused concern among parents. In response, the local school has implemented stringent security measures, closing its premises with police officers ensuring safety in and around the school area. He highlighted that normalcy has been restored in the vicinity of the school.
