Woman reports assault by police officer husband

Kan Chom Phalang took a female victim to file a complaint against her police husband, a police sergeant major, who had a hot temper and frequently abused his wife. After the evening of July 3, Mr. Kanthas Phongpaiboonwet, or Kan Chom Phalang, took Ms. A (assumed name), age 21, to file a complaint with the Bang Khen Police Station to prosecute her husband, a 23-year-old police officer at the rank of Police Senior Sergeant Major, assigned to the Metropolitan Police Bureau, on charges of assault. The latest news is that Kan Chom Phalang took Ms. A (pseudonym), aged 21, to Bang Khen Police Station. Then, they went to the house of the man, who is a police officer in the Sukhaphiban area, Tha Raeng Subdistrict, Bang Khen District, Bangkok. Mr. Kanthas said that this woman was the wife of a police officer in the Metropolitan Police Bureau who was beaten by her husband until he was bruised and had bruises all over his body. It was not the first time he had done this. The most severe thing he had done was to slap h im in the face with a gun and drag him to the back of a restaurant to attack him. The husband had problems with marijuana and kratom juice. Today, the woman could not take it anymore, so she traveled to Bang Khen Police Station to bring the woman to file a complaint and she had already gone for a physical examination. Mr. Kanthas also asked the question that the police must be the guardians of the peace. Who can they protect when they cannot even protect their own families? Because the public expects the police to have more ethics than the general public. Mr. Kanthas said that at present, there is coordination with the security and crowd control department, the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Bang Khen Police Station to bring the man out before talking because the wife wants the police officer to sign the divorce papers. Ms. A (pseudonym) said that after the news came out yesterday, her husband, who is a policeman, messaged to apologize, but she did not pay attention to it and did not open the message. Nor mally, when he is at home, he smokes marijuana, plays games, drinks kratom water, and does not go to work very often. Currently, Bang Khen Metropolitan Police Station police, along with Mr. Kan and Ms. A (assumed name), are in the process of inspecting a house in the Sukhaphiban area. Source: Thai News Agency
