Nonthaburi: Yotsanu Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, has publicly conveyed his condolences following a tragic shooting incident at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi.
According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanu Wongsawat took to Facebook to express his sympathies to the families of the victims and all those impacted by the event. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest level of security at the school and urged people not to share images of the incident, in consideration of the affected families' privacy and mental health.
Authorities have reportedly brought the situation under control, and Yotsanu stated that he is closely monitoring developments. As part of his role overseeing the Ministry of Education, he has instructed that comprehensive security measures be implemented to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. Additionally, he has appealed to the public to avoid the vicinity of the school to facilitate the work of officials.
Yotsanu further requested the public to respect the rights and privacy of the bereaved families by refraining from disseminating images or videos from the incident.
