Bangkok: The 1st Army Area Command is organizing a series of activities to commemorate His Majesty the King's 74th birthday on July 28, 2026, at the 1st Army Area Command Headquarters. Lieutenant General Worayot Leuangsuwan, Commander of the 1st Army Area Command, along with commanders, personnel from the 1st Army Area Command, the 1st Army Corps, and the 1st Army Area Command Mass Mobilization Foundation, will participate in various ceremonies including a Buddhist chanting ceremony, a ceremony to release cattle and buffalo as an act of merit, a ceremony to present animal identification cards, and a ceremony to offer royal tributes and blessings to His Majesty. The events will also feature a blood donation drive and an oath of allegiance ceremony in front of His Majesty's portrait.
According to Thai News Agency, throughout July, the 1st Army Area Command and its subordinate units, in collaboration with all sectors, have organized simultaneous activities nationwide. These initiatives aim to unite loyalty and express gratitude for His Majesty's compassion towards the Thai people, while also encouraging military personnel and the public to perform good deeds. The activities are designed to uphold the nation's core institutions and foster lasting national unity.
Furthermore, on July 28, 2026, the 1st Army Area Command, in collaboration with local government agencies and the private sector, will open an area within the 1st Army Area Command Headquarters to facilitate students and citizens awaiting the arrival of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. They will perform royal merit-making ceremonies, ordain Vietnamese and Chinese monks, and confer ecclesiastical titles at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace at 5:00 PM. Preparations include waiting areas, transportation services, food and beverages, restrooms and mobile toilets, and medical services, to allow the public to unite and express their loyalty on this significant occasion.
