TSD Reports Unauthorized Data Access on Investor Portal

Bangkok: Thailand Securities Depository Company Limited (TSD) has reported an unauthorized access incident involving personal data on its Investor Portal. TSD detected the breach and promptly blocked the system to halt the data leak. Affected users and regulatory agencies have been notified. TSD assures that the incident will not impact securities trading or investors' assets.

According to Thai News Agency, TSD has taken immediate action to enhance cybersecurity monitoring and prevention measures following the incident. Legal steps were initiated, including reporting to relevant authorities and notifying potentially affected data owners. The company confirms that securities trading, financial data, and assets under custody remain unaffected.

Anek Yoo-yin, Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), disclosed that the SEC received an initial report from TSD regarding the unauthorized data access on July 26, 2026. The SEC is coordinating with TSD to expedite the investigation, determine the facts, identify the cause, and prevent further impacts.

TSD has suspended access from suspicious sources, closed affected connection points, and is closely monitoring related risks. Both TSD and the SEC advise users to be cautious of fraudulent communications that impersonate legitimate services.
