Bangkok: Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, spearheaded a campaign effort at a market located behind the Ministry of Finance, focusing on the promotion of honest politics and the dissemination of the party's policies across various areas. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Abhisit, who is also the party's prime ministerial candidate, was accompanied by fellow candidates Mr. Korn Chatikavanij, Dr. Kardee Leowpairoj, and Ms. Siripa Intavichean (Nan), the candidate for Bangkok Constituency 6. The campaign took place in the Phaya Thai and Din Daeng districts, with a focus on promoting the Democrat Party's number 27 candidate at the market on Rama VI Road, Phaya Thai Subdistrict and District, Bangkok. The campaign was met with a warm reception from government officials, vendors, and the general public. Mr. Abhisit highlighted the significance of hones t and transparent politics, emphasizing the party's 27 policy points, which have been carefully curated despite the party having over a hundred policies. He assured that these policies will be communicated systematically, targeting specific groups to clearly demonstrate the benefits each area will receive. Additionally, discussions with villagers revealed confusion regarding the ballot papers, particularly the third ballot, due to misleading information about the referendum and advance voting. Mr. Abhisit reiterated that the first two ballots would not pose issues and called for the Election Commission to expedite public awareness campaigns. He reminded that today marks the last day for advance voting registration and urged eligible voters to verify their information and eligibility before election day.
