Achariya Remanded to Criminal Court on Multiple Charges

Bangkok:Police have taken Achariya Ruangratanapong into custody and remanded him to the Criminal Court on charges related to public fraud, violations of the Computer Crime Act, money laundering, and illegal gambling on boxing matches. Achariya maintains his innocence, denying allegations of using donated money for betting and insisting he was acting on orders.

According to Thai News Agency, Achariya appeared in court today, October 5, for the remand hearing. He expressed no concern about the possibility of being granted bail, stating, "Don't think about that yet."

Despite the serious charges, Achariya did not seem stressed as he was escorted into a police car. Earlier in the morning, his wife, lawyer, and Colonel Dr. Thawatchai Kanjanarin, a former surgeon at Phramongkutklao Hospital, visited him, bringing sticky rice with grilled pork and drinks.
